PTSD Workshops

When young adults ages 18 to 21 participate in different military operations during their service in the IDF, many find it very difficult to move on from those traumatic experiences and continue with their everyday lives after leaving the army.

It may not be recognized that they have been physically or mentally wounded in any significant way, but the lack of attention/care given to PTSD leads to long-term issues that may complicate the process of assimilating into normal life, whether it be employment, study, finding a partner, or basic self-management.

Alumni will open up and share their experiences from their service with a psychologist.

During the last few years, we managed 5 PTSD sessions, and all of them ended up to be a positive experiences.

As a result of the experiences our soldier have been exposed to during their army service, the veterans of unit 669 are prone to developing PTSD, and therefore it is of the utmost importance to ensure they are receiving the appropriate treatment.

Our goal is to create a fund that will allow us to send teams to these workshops on a yearly basis.

 The Fund aims to:

  1. Enhancing the relationship between our reserve forces and the operations of our active duty forces.
  2. Provide assistance and support to active duty soldiers as well as veterans.
  3. Create motivation for young adults to have a meaningful combat service in the military.
