Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program takes 15 young unit graduates ranging from the age of 25 to 35 and pairs them with more experienced unit graduates from the ages 45 and up, and is led by an organizational psychologist and a volunteer project manager.

Uniting unit graduates will lead to maximizing their potential in societal initiatives, mutual aid, and civic engagement. Our program will also increase the motivation of Israeli youth to have significant military service, as they will be within the close circles of each apprentice and would be exposed to the support, aid, and care that the apprentice receives in acknowledgment of his or her contribution.

This exposure would encourage them to aspire to follow the unit graduates’ foot-steps.

Our apprentices are committed to volunteering and providing for their communities. During the mentoring program, the apprentices volunteer at NGO (‘Rachashei Lev’) and help children with cancer in an Israeli hospital (‘Tel-Ha’shomer) for three full days.

They also meet monthly, either within the unit base or outside, and become more involved in the unit’s activity, as well as in the Association’s activities. Therefore, the more apprentices the program can involve, the more societal impact the program and the Association will have.

Upon completion of the program, the donor will be invited to grant the graduation certificates.
